TENGU is a wooden frame manufactory founded by Renata and Artur Wojciechowski and is based in Poznan. We carefully invent a mix of classic-look frames and definitely independent and modern design. We belive in creating a unique experience in touch with Tengu. We also understand that a well made frame can have a very real effect on presented art.
GALLERIES | COLLECTORS
We design and produce frames for photos and art exhibitions. We dedicate our handmade products to galleries, museums, photographers and for private collectors. We clearly use solutions according to the specific needs. We combine best selections of solid wood, museum quality glass and passe-partout.
CRAFT
We always work with solid wood only. We don't decorate it excessively in any fancy shapes, and also never paint it or change its natural color. We simply respect the beauty of the nature. Manufactoring strategy is intuitive and is based on our own needs. The idea is to combine classic craft techniques with modern technology. This allows us to offer you a unique wooden frames with a real touch of human passion.
EXPERIENCE
We have made many exhibitions of the most important Polish contemporary photographers - Bogdan Dziworski, Bogdan Konopka, Paweł Żak, Przemek Dzienis, Wacław Wantuch, Paweł Jaszczuk, Sonia Szóstak, Tomasz Wysocki and many others. We have been cooperating with Leica Gallery Warsaw for years. We were the official partner of the Paris Fotofever photography fair held annually in the Louvre underground. Our frames were accompanied by photos presented during the AIPAD photo fair in New York. We work with the Unseen photography fair.
We have experience in working with the most important photo collectors in Poland and in framing their unique and valuable photographs and graphics such artists as Koudelka, Mapplethorpe, Picasso, Duda-Gracz, Erwitt, Burri, Franck, Webb, Shermann and many others. We work with photo festivals in Europe. We follow the collector photography market and regularly participate in all major industry events in the world. We collect Polish contemporary photography ourselves.
